KAIA SHORTLISTED FOR THE INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE AWARD
Posted on August 23, 2021
We’re thrilled to announce that Kaia’s Glow Collection has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Lighting Collection’ category at the International Design and Architecture awards! Voting is now open and if you admire hand-crafted, luxury lighting that’s grounded in ancient craftsmanship and sustainable values, you can cast your vote for Kaia on the awards’ website.
The International Design & Architecture Awards have been considered the “pinnacle of recognition” within the interior design and architecture industries for the last 12 years. Each year, the awards bring together designers, brands, and industry professionals to celebrate the very best of the design world. In 2019, for example, more than 400 projects were shortlisted and the awards’ voting system enabled 86.923 industry professionals from around the world to individually consider and vote for the shortlisted nominees.
Our Glow Collection distils the grandeur of ‘Inner Glow’ – Kaia Lighting’s sculptural lighting collaboration with French designer Sophie Dries – into a functional and compact form that suits the modern home. The design chooses juxtaposing elements and shapes for a dynamic piece that alludes to the synchrony of fabrication and nature.
Each lighting object fuses blown glass, raw organic paper, and brass to strike an imperfect balance between organic and geometric, natural and artificial.
The official awards ceremony takes place on Friday 17th September at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. To find out more about the International Design and Architecture Awards, visit the website.
